Laboratory of Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Automation – BA
The activity of Laboratory of Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Automation has been started at the end of 1970s of the last century. At the beginning of its activity, the Department dealt with issues related to fire protection of buildings and technological equipment. During its nearly forty-year history, the laboratory has expanded its competences, becoming an accredited laboratory on October 7, 1998.
The Laboratory performs tests in the field of mechanical, electrical, acoustic, electromagnetic compatibility and physical properties of elements of fire alarm systems, components of voice alarm systems, elements of smoke and heat control systems, luminates for emergency lighting, devices and alarm transmission systems, power supply systems and fire protection switches.
The tests are carried out based on the requirements contained in the standards (EN 54 series, EN 12101, EN 60598-2-22), national technical assessments and the regulation of the Ministry of Interior and Administration of June 20, 2007 (Journal of Laws of 2007, No. 143, item 1002; Journal of Laws of 2010, no. item 553) on the list of products intended to ensure public safety or the protection of health, life and property, as well as the rules for issuing approvals for these products.
