Scheme of the process

The European Technical Assessment contains the performance to be declared, expressed in levels or classes, or in a descriptive manner, relating to the essential characteristics that have been agreed between the manufacturer and the TAB to which the European Technical Assessment is requested for the declared intended use of the product, and details technical necessary to implement a system for assessing and verifying constancy of performance.

The European Technical Assessment is issued, amended or extended at the expense of the applicant. Remuneration for these activities is determined based on the product of the hourly rate and the number of hours of work performed as part of these activities. The above shall apply mutatis mutandis to the amendment and extension of the European Technical Assessment. European Technical Assessments are issued by CNBOP-PIB for an indefinite period. The European Technical Assessment is valid from the date of its issue.
