Scheme of the process

The testing procedure and documents issued on its basis by CNBOP-PIB do not constitute an alternative to admitting the use of products intended to ensure public safety or protect health, life and property.

The basis for submitting a product for testing is that it meets the essential requirements specified in the regulations related to placing products on the market. Testing is carried out through practical assessment of products by rescuers from the State Fire Service rescue and firefighting units as part of exercises and rescue and firefighting activities. The expected product testing time is up to 2 months.

To submit a product for testing, you must submit to CNBOP-PIB an application for testing the product at the PSP along with a technical description of the product, its purpose and innovativeness. The testing procedure is free of charge and the manufacturer does not bear the costs of undergoing it. Possible costs may be related to performing necessary laboratory tests of the product. The test ordering party is obliged to provide materials necessary to carry out the tests (e.g. fuel, flammable materials, etc., depending on needs).
